Recent Arrivals

2004 Anomaly-Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon-This is an elegant and age-worthy cab with aromas of hazelnut, cocoa powder, dried herbs and dense, dark fruits. Notes of black cherry, tamarind and graphite flesh out its seamless palate. Firm, sweet tannins provide a supple, confident and creamy foundation before culminating in Anomaly's signature, velvety finish. $75.00

2005 Brewer Clifton-Rancho Santa Rosa Chardonnay-Another great wine from Brewer Clifton. It features bright aromas of flowers, lime and green tea followed by flavors of tapioca, cinnamon and creme brulee. Full-bodied with a rich, creamy texture. $48.00

2006 Jarvis-Estate Grown Napa Valley Chardonnay-This is a beautiful deep golden wine with aromatic hints of floral and honeysuckle. It is elegant and refreshing with ample flavors of apple and pear with well intertwined oak flavors. Great with food and delightful on its own. $38.00

2007 Alfaro Family Vineyards-Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir Rose'-A delicious pink wine from one of our favorite winemakers. Deep red rose in color, with hints of melon, citrus, pineapple and passion fruit and wonderful crisp acidity. $15.00

Recent Arrivals

2005 Dry Creek Vineyard-Sonoma County Fume Blanc-Aromas of citrus, grapefruit and lemongrass are echoed on the palate by lemon lime flavors and peppery spice notes. $13.00

2006 Westerly Vineyards-Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc-
Melon-y on the nose, with some tropical fruit and lime notes as well. Rich but lively on the palate, with citrus as well as tropical fruit and some melon flavors. Bright acidity leads to a long, clean finish. $18.00

2006 Work Vineyards-Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc- Fresh, bright aromas of Sauvignon Blanc show profiles of pink grapefruit and zesty citrus. The mineral laced aromas of clean washed river stone, a signature of this vineyard, come forth on the palate. Fresh flavors of tangerine, pears, melon and passion fruit make the texture and body vibrant and lively; the long, round finish lingers. $24.00

2005 Handley-Anderson Valley Pinot Noir-To quote the winery notes, "The mix of clones that go into our Anderson Valley Pinot Noir provided different characteristics to its flavor profile. The Dijon clones we used (115, 667, and 777) provide beautiful aromatics of roses, violets, chocolate, blueberry, and strawberry. The Martini and Roederer clones from our Estate Vineyard lend dark cherry acidity and silky tannin structure to the blend, while the Pommard clone offers good mid-palate texture and long finish." Put more clearly, simply a wonderful Pinot. $30.00

2005 Hirsch Vineyards-Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir-Again, the winery says, "A vintage of challenges, resulting in a tiny harvest, creating a wine of massive structure. Dark ruby, this wine opens with aromas of deep black plum and hard spice: nutmeg and cinnamon. With air, the fruit aromas broaden to dark cherry, tobacco and black tea. On the palate, the primary fruit is complemented by firm minerality typical of our site." $60.00

2004 Mathis-Sonoma Valley Grenache-Juicy and delicious! The aroma is dominated by ripe black cherries and dried cranberries, followed by a spice kissed apricot, pomegranate, blackberry and strawberries in the mouth. The ’04 Mathis Grenache is immediately easy to appreciate but rewards those who allow for some breathing time. $34.00

2004 Lyndenhurst-Napa Valley Cabernet-This is a second label from the wonderful Spottswoode Winery. To quote the winery, " Our Lyndenhurst is made to the same exacting standards as our Spottswoode Cabernet. The lots we select give Lyndenhurst a vivacious quality—fresh, exciting, and ambitious—while retaining the same rich flavors for which the Cabernet is known. Scents of gingerbread, vanilla, nutmeg, milk chocolate, and cream are intertwined with boysenberries, black cherry, and peppermint. This wine is meant to be consumed in its youth—it is delicious and ready to drink!" $60.00

2004 Joseph Family Vineyards-Alexander Valley Cabernet-This is a small production (504 cases) of a good-sized wine. Again, quoting the winery, "Exotic wild berries and fleshy stone fruits infuse our 2004 Cabernet. This wine is characterized by sweet, mature tannins well integrated with creamy and textured oak. The wine can be enjoyed immediately or cellared for 10-15 years. $39.00

2006 Patz & Hall-Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir-This is an elegant Pinot, a bit more Burgundian in style than their 2005 version. Bright, fresh notes of cherry and strawberry on the nose appear again on the palate along with complex layers of other red fruits intermingled with cinnamon and clove elements. A wonderful Pinot. $42.00

2004 Adastra-Carneros Merlot-93 % Merlot, 7% Syrah. Cherry-violet in color with a nose of raspberries, cherries and chocolate. On the palate raspberries, cherries, vanilla, black licorice, clove stick, with a slightly meaty finish. The winemaker is Pam Starr. $40.00

2003 Medlock Ames-Bell Mountain Ranch Red-This is a Cabernet Merlot blend which is sustainably farmed and handcrafted. There are noted of vanilla, black cherry and baking spices. It has good concentration and balance and a very long silky smooth finish. $25.00
